Senior British Open 2018

A superb experience in St. Andrews! “After proudly sitting in 12th position after 2 rounds of 71 and 68, I was hit by the difficult weather conditions on the weekend and my bad putting – leading to a highly disappointing 70th position, on 297 (+9)”.

Still: to play a Major Championship at the Home of Golf is one of those moments that define the profession. A true pleasure!

Next start: European Staysure Senior PGA Championship as of August 3 2018.

Winston Senior Golf Open 2018

45th position after rounds of 2, 73 and 77 (Total 222 / +6) at the Winston Senior Open on the great course in Vorbeck, Northern Germany. “The preparation was perfect for the upcoming Senior Open in St. Andrews since this course is also a Links-Course. My putting let me down, which was heavily reflected in the scores. Otherwise my swing is in good shape”, said a slightly disappointed André.

Next start: Senior Open in St. Andrews as of July 26 2018.

Swiss Seniors Open 2018

Tied 8th and therefore the 1st Top 10 position at Swiss Seniors Open in Bad Ragaz! The rounds 70, 67 and 67 for -6 (204) are “only” 5 shots off the winning score of -11.

“I played solid over the 3 days, but the putts would not drop. The 3rd round was particularly solid, which is why I could play myself into the top 10. Overall, I love to play in Bad Ragaz and I do hope to come out on top one of these years!”, said a satisfied André after all…

Next start: Winston Gold Senior Open as of July 13 2018.

US Senior Open 2018

The course and venue of The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, USA, are a true gem for Golfers! A superb venue for a Major event and I was delighted to e part of the action all four days. The rounds of 75, 71, 77 and 77 show correct Golf, but I wanted more – mainly over the weekend. 58th position with 300 (+20): there are a few too many putts in that number…

Off to the next highlight of the year: the Swiss Seniors Open in Bad Ragaz as of July 6 2018.

Senior Italian Open

Always a delight to play in Italy, the Golf Club of Udine is a gem! 32th position after rounds of 73, 74 and 70 for a total of 217 (+1) was the result of a solid showing.

The Shipco Masters promoted by Simon’s Golf Club

The first European Senior Staysure Tour event in Denmark was a good for André: 12h position after rounds of 79, 69 and 73 (Total of 213, -4) at Simon’s Golf Club in Denmark.

“A fabulous event put up by a generous and knowledgeable Sponsor. In  these conditions, it is a pleasure to compete. My Golf is there, I can’t wait to get out there again”.

Next start: Senior Italian Open as of June 15 2018.

Kitchen Aid Senior PGA Championship

A good showing at the first Senior Major of the Season: rounds of 73, 69, 71 and 71 for a total 284 (L) to finish in tied 54th position on the Harbor Shores Course in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

“I have just come off a stretch of 2 months without competitive Golf, so I am satisfied with the result”, said a happy André. “But overall, there is much more potential, and that’s the good sign!”.

Next start: Shipco Masters as of June 1 2018.
